Q:Can I use this on a outside discharge waste line from my basetment sump pump to reattach the pvc line

Answer This Question
A: Hello Robert,
Unfortunately no, as sump pumps usually have higher pressure than what our couplings can handle. If it is not being connected directly to sump pump and is minimal pressure of 4.3 or lower and is within od range, then you can.

Answer This Question
A: Hi and thank you for the question. No, Fernco couplings are designed to provide a water-tight seal for low pressure DWV (drain, waste and vent) applications and would not work on a main water line.
by|Nov 2, 2022
A: No. These are designed for low pressure drain pipe.
Is it buried or exposed? You’ll need to buy a compression fitting that is designed to handle the pressure on potable water service pipe, (Mueller, Ford, etc.). The price may shock you in comparison but the fitting won’t leak or completely fail.
