Q:is each end of the LED marked with L (live) or N (neutral)? or it does not matter whichever end is connected to the Live wire?

A: The end with the color selector slide switch is marked L, The opposite end is marked N. I don't know if that is critical or not, but I assume it is and installed the bulbs in that way. They work fine.

Q:It is stated several times that this tube is shatter resistant. What is the documentation for that claim. And can it be used in an open fixture without a protective plastic outer sleeve pulled over the tube, to prevent shards from entering the environ?

A: Thank you for your question. This can be used in an open fixture, tubes have a protective film over the glass tube which will keep glass intact if in case the lamp is dropped on the ground or it is impacted by an object.

Q:This is a 48" replacement. What is the internet/model/store skew # for a 24" and 36" replacement of the same. I have fixtures in the same room that have different sizes and want LED replacements w/ the same illuminosity/brightness

A: T-8 and T-12 have the same spacing on pins and length. You might be thinking of T-5 which does indeed have narrower pin spacing.

Q:I have existing fixtures with the power and neutral on one end of the bulb. A lot of bulbs have power on one end and the neutral on the other end. That won't work for me. If this bulb won't work, what can you recommend?

Q:Can these lights be used with both shunted and non-shunted lamp holder sockets? Non-shunted T12 sockets connect via 2 wires, but the instructions for these lights show using only one wire per socket. Does it matter which the existing 2 wires is used?
