Answer This Question
A: We do not have any other recommendation since GAR 343 was discontinued. You can try Citristrip to see if it works, basically want to breakdown and remove the top coat.

Answer This Question
A: The door will already come with a polyurethane top coat with uv inhibitors to protect the stain finish. It is recommened that you reapply another polyurethane top coat with uv inhibitors every 2 to 3 years. Also the level of sun exposure will also factor into the timeline, if the door is protected and does not receive much sun the top coat will last longer, if the door receives a lot of sun then you probably want to reapply every 2 years.
