The wall that you plan to install our Traditional 1 Decorative Wall Panel in Matt White to needs to be freshly cleaned, free from dust, grease, wax, etc. After you’ve cleaned the wall, be sure that it is dried thoroughly. Acceptable substrates are drywall, plaster or clean, smooth tile. Any damaged, loose or uneven areas must be repaired, patched, leveled and primed. Fill cracks and irregularities with wallboard compound or spackling, then sand smooth with fine-grade sandpaper. Any porous material like highly textured drywall, plywood (or any raw wood without primer), and wallpaper unless removed, sanded and primed, will result in adhesive failure. A:  Thank you for your great question! We do not suggest using our Dunes Horizontal Decorative Wall Panel in Galvanized Steel in a shower application. The panels themselves are water resistant, being made of a durable PVC they will not rust or cause damage to the panel over time. However, the adhesive used to install the panel is not warranted for that type of installation and thus we cannot guarentee proper outcome of that type of installation. A:  I can't say as I know for a fact, however having installed a few showers, even some from a plain concrete floor on up, I would say no. I can't see how you would provide a water tight seal in the cracks.

A:  Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. The panels do have a raised finish, they will not be smooth when you run your hand across them, they do have texture.
