Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your interest in our products. The Fasade Lay In Ceiling tile is only designed to be installed into a preexisting grid system not directly applied. However, we have the Cyclone design available in a 2'x4' Direct Apply panel that can be installed as a backsplash or ceiling tile, adhered directly to the substrate. Even though the backsplash panels are fire-retardant, they can be deformed by excessive heat (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The panels can be installed behind a stove if the stove has a control panel. Be sure to keep stovetop burners, toaster ovens, cooking ranges, etc., 6 inches away from the panel's surface. Answer This Question
A: Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. Our decorative Fasade panels are made of PVC plastic which can handle high humidity rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, bars, basements, bathrooms, and family rooms. Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing the panels in a non-temperature controlled area or outside (outdoor patio/ garage/ camper/ RV) because the panels are not designed for exterior use or extreme weather conditions. The panels may expand and contract in extreme hot and cold temperature swings causing the foil to deform. The adhesive may also be an issue as it freezes & thaws or reaches high temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Additionally, UV rays will cause the panels’ coloration to fade quickly so we do not recommend installing the panels in direct sunlight. Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).
