We do not recommend gluing these tiles directly up to your substrate. You can find the same styles/finishes in a glue up 2' x 4' tile available if you are looking to direct apply a tile to your substrate. We recommend our tiles be installed over a smooth, clean, flat and dry substrate; any texture should be removed to secure adhesion. These panels are manufactured to lay into a grid system, we do not recommend directly applying them to a substrate. If you are looking for a direct apply tile, we recommend using our 2x4 glue up panel, as it is available in the same style and color. However, we do not recommend bending them around any sharp angles as they could crack/split. A:  Thank you for your great question! The Traditional 5 Lay-in Ceiling Tile in Polished Copper is available in a 2'x2' tile meant to lay into a gride system, as well as a 2'X4' directly apply tile. The only one available to be layed into a grid system, however, is the 2'x2' tile. The tile itself can be cut, we would suggest using a border panel if you choose to use the Lay in 2'x2' tile, since cutting the tile may create shadow lines as it would not lay flush with the grid.
