    A:  Thank you for your interest in our Quattro Vinyl Lay-In Ceiling Tile in Matte White. These tiles are required to be installed laid into a grid system, not directly applied to a substrate.       A:  Hello Karen! Thank you for your question. These 'lay-in' ceiling panels are designed to lay into a grid system. If you have a pre-existing grid ceiling, you can drop these panels into your 2x2 area. If you do not have a pre-existing grid system and would like to directly apply our panels to your flat surface, you could purchase the 2'x2' direct apply panels that could be glued to your substrate.
