When looking at our ceiling panels you will notice we have both Lay-in styles and Glue-up panels, the lay-in are designed to go into a preexisting grid system, however the glue-up panels can be installed directly to drywall. Answer This Question

A:  Hello doowop! Thank you for your question! Our decorative Fasade backsplash panels are made of PVC plastic which can handle high humidity rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, bars, basements, bathrooms, and family rooms. Unfortunately, we do not recommend installing the panels in a non-temperature controlled area (outdoor patio/ outside of garage/ camper/ RV) because the panels are not designed for exterior use. The panels may expand and contract in extreme hot and cold temperature swings causing the foil to deform. Additionally, UV rays will cause the panels’ coloration to fade quickly so we do not recommend installing the panels in direct sunlight. Please feel free to contact customer care for installation troubleshooting (800.434.3750).

                  Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your question. The decorative panels are as thick as a credit card and the 2' x 2' panels should not sag. For 2’ x 4’ Fasade lay-in panels, if sag or lift is an issue, we recommend that the panels are installed underneath a mineral board ceiling tile or some other material. You can use old mineral board tiles or purchase an economical mineral board tile for this purpose. THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT.
