Questions and Answers for Fasade 4 ft. Vinyl Matte White J-Trim

A:  Thank you for your interest in our Matte White J-Trim. Unfortunately, our trim component is designed to accommodate a panel up to .07" in thickness, so won't quite fit your 1/4" tile needs. You may be able to use some type of aluminum flooring trim, I believe they make those available to accommodate thicker tiles. A:  My J trim was white plastic not metal chrome, I didn't paint mine but I would think if it's metal any rust proof paint would work.

A:  Thank you for your great question! We do not recommend painting any of our Fasade trim components that already have a finish on them. If you are looking to paint the trim, we recommend purchasing either the gloss or matte white trim components. A:  You can paint it, but it is not recommended.

A:  Not a problem. I have opted to go with actual tin tiles and stainless J mold from a local metal supply house. It was actually less money- so a win-win for me.

A:  The overall thickness is .25 inches.

A:  This is 1/4 inch outside. It will not fit over 1/4 inch drywall, for example!

A:  Thank you for your question! The J Trim is designed to coordinate with our Fasade panels. It is meant to accommodate a panel that is approximately 1/10" thick. We do also carry Large Profile J Trim, which has the capacity to hold a panel up to 1/4" in thickness, for some of our panels that have a larger profile to their pattern. A:  Hello! Thank you for your question! The Fasade panels and trims can be installed near a heat source as long as the Fasade products are 6’’ away from the direct heat AND do not exceed temperatures over 140 degrees. Generally a good rule of thumb is if the wall gets too hot for your hand, it will be too hot for the panels.
