A: Hey there Becky, thanks for reaching out. Although many customers have found success with Flex Seal Spray beyond its intended use, it is not made to withstand extreme heat or pressure. A: Hey there Jerry, thanks for reaching out. Sometimes it can be hard to reach a particular spot on the roof or gutter. Do the best you can and be safe. Remember you can apply Flex Seal Spray directly into a bowl and paint it, using a brush or a roller on any area. Although, we typically recommend using Flex Seal Liquid when using these application methods. Before applying please read all directions on the can. Flex Seal Spray will adhere to most any surface such as: wood, metal, tile, concrete, masonry, fabric, glass, plastic, aluminum, porcelain, dry wall, rubber, cement, some vinyl and so much more. Keep in mind that Flex Seal Spray may not be compatible with all plastics, vinyl, or rubbers. Please test on a small area before application.

Q:I need to patch the area around my outdoor hose spicket. A couple old screw holes and a larger hole underneath. I presume Flex product will work but would you recommend tape or spray?
by|Mar 24, 2024
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hey there Toni, thanks for reaching out. To provide advice on how to best repair a large hole, we would need more information about the nature of the project. In some cases Flex Tape would be a better choice. Perhaps Flex Shot or Flex Paste depending on the application. If you want to use Flex Seal Liquid to seal a very large hole, incorporating the use of a screen would surely increase the chances of a positive result. Sometimes the Flex Shot is a better product for patching large holes. It may require creating a patch made of Flex Shot and then adhering the patch to the hole with more flex shot. Please test on a small area before application. If desired, you can top coat using Flex Seal Liquid. Flex Paste is also a great option for repairing large holes and filling larger voids. by|Mar 20, 2024

Answer This Question
A: Hey there, thanks for reaching out. Flex Seal Spray is not made to withstand extreme heat or pressure. It should not be used to seal a gasoline tank, oil tank, radiator or on or around any other flammable liquids or ignition sources. It is made for an environmental range of temperatures approximately -20° F to 140° F. The can itself should be between 60°F - 100°F degrees when using.
The substrate should be between 0°F-100°F degrees when applying it. We always recommend testing the product in a small area before completing a project.
