        A:  Shipping weight supposedly 616 pounds, feels far less than that to me once unpacked Per Excel site - features fourteen ball bearing slide detent drawers, double ball bearing slides on four drawers, quick release slides

        A:  there are detents to hold drawers in closed position. they also lock with a key weights 630 lbs and is very solidly built
