A:  Thank you for your inquiry, I am from the manufacturer. A better choice would be a bumper product. Q:In the reviews for this product, it states that you should use a sturdy scissors? I’ve has this product for a while now but every time I go to use it, I can’t cut it. Is there an industrial type scissors that works?

A:  Sturdy scissors from my kitchen knife block do the job - the 99 cent special from the office supply won't cut it.

A:  You could try tin snips. I have found these cut everything (laminate flooring, etc). Link: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Wiss-12-5-in-Straight-Cut-Tin-Snip-A9N/204155040.

A:  Yes! We have done the same thing to these pads. We have odd shaped chair feet (rectangle) and cut the pads out of these blankets. They adhere and work great! I hope this helps & good luck!

A:  Absolutely! Cut it into strips the same width as the rockers; clean the surface of any dirt and dust, remove the paper backing and apply firmly. You will love the results. I did!

A:  No. I still would purchase them and try to use them because they are cheap enough and the felt is thick and the backing is real sticky.

A:  I think I would choose an item specifically designed to move heavy furniture for your appliances. I think I would only move lighter furniture with these pads on the legs.

A:  Felt is designed to help protect floors from scratches & dents as well as help move small furniture such tables/chairs easily. Felt is not designed to move heavy appliances. You will need appliance movers for that.

A:  I haven't tried this, but would recommend against it. Stick-on pad tend to get torn off if they get stuck on a threshhold or rough flooring. But for a few dollars more I've had very good luck with "movealls" such as Everbilt's "Movealls and Protect Alls", Model # 83037N12, https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-Movealls-and-Protect-Alls-83037N12/203566384 These are wide plastic discs that support a lot of weight and glide over carpet. Or wrap their "socks" (included) around them and they slide on hard surfaces. I've used mine to move appliances and heavy furniture such as buffets and dressers. So far they've survived three moves and are still good to go! Highly recommended.

A:  No. A fridge might be too heavy, but I think a washer and dryer would work. Interesting thought.

A:  This felt sticks well to flat, clean surfaces. It doesn't bend all that easily; as long as there is something relatively flat to stick it to, this should work. I hope this helps and good luck.

A:  I should think that this would be an excellent application for that purpose. Just cut it into thin strips, clean the plastic surface to remove any dust or dirt, remove the paper backing and apply firmly.

                    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Absolutely yes because the adhesive backing is so sticky and strong that they will not move.

                    by|May 5, 2023

A:  Not being pre-cut, you should have some flexibility in apply them. Putting them on the walker where it hits the cabinets and trim should protect them. Definitely a dense product that should provide protection.

Q:If I cut fit every part of rolltop desk (400 pounds) that rests on the floor, will this product allow movement of the desk easily across a hard wood floor?

A:  I used this product under my dining room that is heavy (but not 400 lbs.) and it moves across my floor without scratching it. This product is about the best thing I have used for this application. I like this because there are no plastic or metal parts that can scratch the floor.

A:  400lbs? The question is: What do you keep in that desk, to make it that heavy, your free weights? ;)

                    by|Apr 9, 2023

A:  400 pounds? Move easily? No. You will be able to move it without damaging the wooden floor but you will still have to apply enough force to overcome the initial friction of the stationary desk on the floor. Once moving it will slide nicely. Issac Newton had something to say about that.

A:  It will make moving the desk a lot easier and will not scratch up your wooden floors.

A:  If you try them, you might want to double them. 400 pounds is a lot to ask of this type of product. It doesn't have a plastic layer like those furniture moving pads.

A:  I have moved a china hutch (with china plates inside) using these pads. I do not know the total weight of the hutch plus plates, but the hutch itself is made from maple and is 5' wide by 6' tall by 18" deep. I was able to move this piece by myself without any issues.

A:  If you mean the adhesive back to the felt front material - it will NOT stick. If you mean adhesive to adhesive, you would probably have great difficulty pulling them apart.

                      by|May 5, 2023

A:  I think it would work because the backing is super sticky and they will definitely stick to each other.

                      by|May 5, 2023

A:  It will stick to itself but we have discovered that a little dab of glue works really well to hold these in place.

                      by|May 4, 2023

A:  I assume you want to stack them, one pad on top of the other, to have a thicker result. This might work if you use the whole pad, or a large portion of it, but since they're really designed to stick to smooth surfaces, they may not stay together if you move/slide the furniture they're attached to. Probably not a good solution.
