A:  I have found that they do OK with metal but not quite as well as with wood. In part that may be due to the finish that is on the metal pieces I moved having poorer adhesion characteristics than wood. By that I mean it was polished. I would expect if I abraded the bottoms the of edges of the metal "legs", I would have seen longer-lasting adhesion characteristics.

A:  Yes, as long as the metal legs are flat and clean this pad will stick nicely to just about anything.

A:  This should adhere to metal legs as long as the surface is clean.

A:  I think you would be able to but if the metal is very sharp it might cut through the felt pad itself.
