Q:I have rechargeable (energizer) AA batteries I tired for a flashlight. The light was noticeably dimmer even fully charged. I looked into it and the rechargeable AA batteries seemed to have a industry standard lower output than non rechargeable ones. Is this the same here?

A: Hi Josh,
As long as your safe has a warning light/method on it to alert you as to when to change the battery - you should be fine with this battery. The sustained output is lower when compared to a regular non-rechargeable battery and will continue to drop as you elevate the number of recharge cycles.

A: Energizer no longer manufactures NiCad batteries.
NiMH are different from Nicad. Their chemical composition is different.

A: The item we use it for has an external charger. However, my wall outlet charger has a spot for 9V DC battery. Only one spot.
This is the part number for this charger by Energizer "Energizer CHFCV".
