A: you need to contact the manufacturer. You can buy aftermarket remote controls that have more options such as temperature setpoint so the unit will cycle on / off to maintain your desired temp.

Q:Why does the pilot light on my fireplace sound like a jet engine? Only when the fireplace is lit

A: As far as the shutting off of the pilot light, you will need to clean the pilot thermocouple probe. It probably has a buildup of carbon deposits on it. Shutoff gas and let it cool, then very gently use stiff bristle brush to remove buildup. Follow with contact cleaner or similar product. Let dry completely before re-lighting. Also be sure pilot hole is open and clean while your at it.

A: I have had trouble with my pilot light. It would not start so I light it with a lighter. I don't know what is wrong with it, but it does happen to me.
I think the best thing to do is contact the Seller.

A: Go back to instructions (they are on line also) , either it became unlocked from the main unit or more likely, the batteries in the base unit need changing. Batteries last about a year if you never turn off base unit. Base unit is centered below logs in front, kind of a hastle to unscrew covers and pop out 6 AA cell batteries, be sure to replace in correct direction . Some plus on top others neg on top.

A: Try replacing the batteries underneath the logs first. Then in the remote if it still doesn't work. I've had this happen before.

A: My remote stopped working shortly after I bought it also. Also had some other problems with broken logs, which they replaced, but then getting the new logs to fit correctly. I've called the manufacturers several times, intially they were responsive, but communications have ceased and no remedies to any of my problems. Disappointed with this purchase.

Q:pilot light seam to be loud and have a sputing sound.

Answer This Question
A: Any pilot light is going to make a sound because it is basically ignited fuel that was under pressure. I have heard some say that there’s sounds like a jet engine, but I have not experienced that. Check to make sure that your unit is set up for the right gas type (natural or propane), Then I would check the inlet pressure as described in the manual. Beyond that, hopefully it is still within the return policy of wherever you got it.

A: I HAVE NOT EXPERIENCED THAT PROBLEM

A: I have had my logs for 3 years now and I do not have this sound from my pilot light. You may want to have it checked by a plumber, or your gas company, to make sure it is operating properly.

Q:Can I add a blower to these logs? They keep the room I'm in warm but not any other room in the ho...

A: I would not introduce a blower into the fire box where this is located. You will find yourself changing the air fuel mixture and probably end up with a bunch of soot all over everything. Instead, if you have a forced air heating and air-conditioning unit in your house, try running that unit with just the fan on. That should circulate the warm air around the house much better.
by|Mar 28, 2020
A: No, it is not recommended to add a blower to these logs.

A: Purely a design and aesthetic issue. Trying to make it look more like a natural fire. I don’t believe it has any particular functional value.
