A: It can be done but as you can see, the hardware is designed for right side supply. I had to run supply tube behind log set to valve. Not best set up but it works. Valve shroud is reversed so it doesn’t cover valve as designed.

A: Yes.
However, you can install an optional safety valve with pilot, but this does not come with the logs.

A: Hello Dean,
The previous commenter is correct. These logs are considered "manual" or "match light". We offer accessory models CVS-303 or RVS-304. Both are safety pilot kits which give you a standing pilot. RVS-304 also gives you a on/off remote control. You can also find this exact log set with the safety pilots pre-installed. Search for models CS30DBNL-60 or CS30DBRNL-60

A: Hello and thanks for your question. Yes this unit will fit. The front log (which is actually 2 logs placed side by side) is right at 24" so it will give you a snug but nice fit.

A: The descriptions are correct. The gas connection is only the pipe stub. Using proper adapters, this can be connected directly to the gas line through a cutoff valve. The pilot kit is optional and is connected between the stub and the cutoff valve. This kit includes a thermocoupled safety valve and a manual gas valve, and is necessary if you don't want to use a match. After you set up the logs and use them, you will see if the vermiculite is necessary.

A: Hello Baylor1, the burner pan for a 24" log set (including this model CS24) is 20.5" wide and 5.75" deep. It does seem possible to have the burner pan in front of your gas line since you typically push the pan towards the front of the log set / grate so the embers glow/burn in front. You would possibly need a longer flex supply line than what comes with our set but this is a common item found in Home Depot or other hardware stores. In fact your plumbers may carry them with them. The only thing you want to make sure of once installed is the your chimney drafts the air up. You don't want the log set so far forward that fumes/exhaust enter the room. I hope that helps a little.

A: Hello RMadrid and thanks for your question. Yes the burner pan on this vented log set has a punch out for the gas line on both the left and right side. It can be installed using either side. And yes you can install an on/off remote control. You simply need to purchase model RVS-304 which is a standing safety pilot kit with remote control. This can be attached to any vented log set. I hope that helps.
