A: I wouldn't paint it. It hff as a coating on it. You would need to sand the whole unit. Easier buying a non finished cabinet.

Answer This Question
A: No. Certainly do NOT buy this for controlled medications. You might be able to add a lock if you're just trying to slow down a toddler. If you need a locking cabinet I would look elsewhere.

A: Hello Philly, I’m Chris from the Home Depot’s how-to Community. Thank you for your question.
This cabinet comes with an old style spring loaded latch that positively keeps the door closed. If you mean a lock in the sense of a padlock or key to prevent entry, then no there is no lock.
I hope this helps,
Chris.

Answer This Question
A: It has pre-drilled holes and not meant to go either way. With some tweaking on assembly you could probably make it work the other direction though.

Answer This Question
A: Maybe, if you flip door around and move hinges and door clasp. You will need to fill holes. Then re paint areas. I personally would not recommend doing this.
