Q:The picture shows the fixed louvers angled up not down. This would not divert rainfall. Shouldn't they be angled up? Since the bottom and top rails are not necessary the same size I can't just invert the shutter

A: Thank you for your interest in our product. Historically this is how real, functional shutters are built. When the shutters are in the closed position, exposing the back side of the shutter, the louvers will be angled the opposite way to divert rain and debris away from the window. Since the shutters do have louvers all the way through, if you would prefer the downward facing louvers to show when the shutters are in the open position, they can be installed that way as well.
