A:  Thank you for your interest in this product! PVC with oil-based paint is generally not recommended. We suggest you prime the product thoroughly to achieve a smooth, consistent, paint-ready surface. Once priming is finished, we recommend painting the product with a good quality, vinyl safe 100% acrylic latex paint.

    Q:Can I mount your Ekena Millwork PVC shutters on my existing bracket hinges so the shutters open and close? Does "functional" mean the shutters open and close - or at least swing back and forth thus needing the S brackets to hold them in place?

    A:  Thank you for your interest in our product! These shutters are designed for a fixed mount installation, and would not be ideal to install on functional shutter hinges. They are generally installed using fixed mount hardware, or by screwing into the face of the shutters.

            A:  Thank you for your interest in our products! At a 15" W x 78" H, each shutter would weigh approximately 20 lbs. To install these brackets, you can either fasten them through the face of the shutter using exterior grade screws, or you can use fixed mount shutter hardware that is approximately the same width as the shutters themselves. The model number for the hardware that corresponds with these shutters is SHUTTER-BRACKETS_15. Best of luck on your project!

To order this size, please see your nearest Home Depot Pro Desk. They can work with us to quote out any size you need for your application.
