Answer This Question
A: Thanks for reaching out! We do have these crossheads up to 108 inches in width! Using the drop-down menu, you can view all widths up to 108 inches. If your opening is larger than that, yes, this material density is similar to wood and can be cut and trimmed with general woodworking tools, to splice two crossheads together.

Our crossheads have a similar density to wood but the faux material makes for a much longer lasting product, with a hassle-free installation. Polyurethane does not rot, is impervious to insects, and lasts in harsh weather. Due to these reasons, we do not make these product in wood. Please let us know if we can further assist!

Answer This Question
A: Thanks for reaching out! Ideally, you'd like the bottom of the crosshead (the widths we list) to match the top of your door opening (including any existing trim). That creates the best and most authentic look! If you are also ordering pilasters, we'd recommend ordering the bottom width of the crosshead to extend over those, as well.

Q:Can this trim be use as crown molding on ceiling?

A: Thanks for reaching out.
Our crossheads are made for a flat installation, above a door or window. Due to the flat configuration, we wouldn't recommend them to be used as crown moulding (as crown moulding is typically installed at a angle, to meet the ceiling and wall). However, we have a large selection of crown moulding! Using The Home Depot search bar, please type in "Ekena Millwork Crown Moulding", to shop our collection.
