Q:Can this be used for a window sill?
by|Aug 12, 2020
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  Thanks for reaching out. Sure! This could be used as a window sill. As it is typically installed over window and doors (thus the top is not seen) it is recommended that you put aluminum flashing on the top so water does not sit there. This crosshead has a bottom projection of 1 inch and a top projection of 2-3/4 inches. Q:Would it be possible to extend this out from the wall another 4 inches and if so, how would that be done?

      Answer This Question

A:  Howdy Newbie, The only way I can think of would be to purchase one more and then cut the end of each on till you get the exact length you need. Then I would glue and screw the two pieces together. Finally, when the glue is completely dry, just sand and repaint. happy building, Coach Dave
