Q:I'm considering purchasing these to help support a large floating shelf that sags a bit. What is the weight tolerance/capacity for these? Thanks.

Answer This Question
A: Thanks for reaching out. Applications and installation methods do vary, as well as the load-capacity does depend on the size of brackets chosen. However, with the proper installation these solid wood brackets can typically support up to 150 pounds. They arrive fully sanded and take paint or stain easily. Q:I have a 6x6 6ft mantel about 45 pounds. How does the mantel attach to the corbel? Do I drill down from the top of the mantel or drill up from the corbel.? Also, do you have a picture of the wall side of the corbel?

Answer This Question
A: Standard installation would be to apply wood glue to the mounting surfaces or installation areas top and back. Installation would then continue by nailing or screwing the corbel to the back mounting surface. For additional information please refer to the installation instructions found here --> https://images-content.netdna-ssl.com/pdf/installation/BKTW.pdf. There is no picture currently available but the back of the corbel is completely flat.
