Q:Can I hook up two 50 amp outlets with this breaker? That is, one breaker to a sub panel and the other to a 240v wall outlet.

A:  YES YOU CAN THIS BREAKER IS 4 POLES IN ONE UNIT

    by|Apr 19, 2019

A:  Yes. This is simply 2 50 amp 2 pole breakers packaged into two (instead of 4) spaces. One pair of common-trip poles (for example, the inner two) can feed the outlet, while the other pair can feed the sub panel.

A:  Yes you can but make sure you put the breaker on a split buss.

A:  It's not Nonsense. The only place those breakers can go in an Eaton Panel are the bottom 5 spaces of a 30/40 or 40/50 panel. That's because those breakers have those little silver tabs in the picture that block them from going into the upper 15 spaces in the panel. They only want you to double the bottom half of the panel for some reason. This is just the Eaton Cutler/Hammer BR panels.

A:  Hello Joe, The reason you are unable to add to your cart at this time is due to the item being on back order. The BR quad breaker will be back in stock around 4/16/2018. At that time you should be able to purchase. Hope this helps, Eaton

Q:I'm looking to replace a breaker that looks very similar to this, except the breaker says it is a 4 pole unit. I'm not sure what the difference would be between the double pole and a 4 pole unit with 2 sets of breakers for separate circuits.

A:  Not sure if there is a difference. Are to two outside levers bridged together like in the picture? Along with the two inside levers? If so, it is the same thing, just with a different name.

                            A:  It should work.

                            by|Dec 14, 2018

A:  Not sure about the terminology. If there are no common trip links (the metal parts which cause the two inner or two outer breakers to trip together), then the breaker is not designed for 220.
