A: They're supposed to be very strong but one of the three I've purchased has cracked under the weight of the vine and it's less than a year old. I don't want to say they're flimsy, but they're not as durable as they advertise. I'd recommend them for places without heavy wind and with plants about as thick/heavy as the image they show with the red flowers. Also, probably not best in sandy soil. I have to keep straightening them up because they keep sinking. Overall I'm not completely regretting the purchase, I'm just going to have to replace them in the next year or two with something much sturdier.

A: No. Wisteria will eventually damage it as it grows bigger unless you keep it well clipped. It's a strong aggressive vine
