A:  Unfortunately, no - DreamLine shower doors are not designed or intended for installation into acrylic/fiberglass surrounds. Installing any DreamLine shower door into this type of opening will void the warranty and could also compromise the product. The Unidoor actually has very specific double-stud/blocking requirements for your framing behind the finished wall because the weight of the heavy swinging door will require hinges that are secured to this added wooden support behind the finished wall. A:  If your finished opening is 46-1/4'' at the top, middle, and bottom, DreamLine would suggest the Unidoor Plus 46'' to 46-1/2'' which is the model number SHDR-244607210-01 or the Home Depot's store so sku number 1000406215. A:  The DreamLine Unidoor Plus shower doors now feature adjustable hinges, allowing you to choose if you would like the door to open inward or outward. The hinges come to you pre-set by the factory to open outward, which is the recommended position. Should you choose to adjust the hinge to open inward, you will need to change the orientation of the vinyl piece that the door closes against, installing the flange on the outside of the shower. Instructions will be included with the hinge for changing the orientation of the swing. A simple adjustment is all that it takes to allow the door to open inward. A:  GJ, all DreamLine shower doors are designed to open outward. There is a vinyl strip that attaches to the stationary panel on this model that the door closes against to prevent leaking.
