A:  The Unidoor models that have glass shelves on the stationary panel require the glass shelves be installed because the glass shelves provide support to the stationary glass. You cannot simply leave them out of the installation because if you do, the stationary panel will not have proper support and this could be unsafe. You will also lose the warranty entirely if you do not install the shelves. There is a version of this door without glass shelves that comes with a support arm and we also make a product called the Unidoor-LS that uses a patented low-profile L-Bar design to support the stationary glass. Both of these models are available in the same sizes as the Unidoor model with the glass shelves.
