Questions and Answers for DreamLine Unidoor 29 in. x 72 in. Frameless Hinged Shower Door in Oil Rubbed Bronze

A:  DreamLine does not provide rough-in dimensions for shower doors and we only provide finished (tile-to-tile) dimensions. You would want to speak with your contractor about framing the opening and discuss what materials you intend to use to finish your walls so they can determine the correct dimensions for the framing. Please note that DreamLine shower doors are not designed or intended for steam room use and this model is designed for standard alcove installation only. This specific model has installed dimensions of 30"(w) x 72"(h), and this model does not have any adjustments for width or out-of-plumb walls, so the finished width would need to be 30" plumb and square. This shower door is for standard alcove installation and the top cannot be sealed in any way. Using any DreamLine product for a steam room would void the warranty on the product. A:  For the 26" Unidoor, your finished opening must be exactly 26" wide and it must be perfectly plumb and square. This style of Unidoor uses only 1 swinging door glass and there is not any adjustment for width or out-of-plumb walls. The actual dimensions of the glass will be slightly less than 26" x 72" and this is to make room for the hinges and to allow for the door to be installed raised slightly above the threshold. The actual dimensions of the glass are not going to affect the installed dimensions of the door, so just to be clear, the opening must be 26" and there is not any room for adjustment on this type of door model. A:  The Unidoor 24" model size is an exact fit model, so unfortunately, you cannot stretch the tolerances to make it fit a 24-1/2" wide opening. The door will definitely be too small to fit 24-1/2". For your opening size, you would require a custom-made Unidoor size. A:  You will need to use the provided hinge plate spacers to bump the hinges out from the wall by 1/8" to make this model fit your space. Please note that this is the absolute maximum amount of adjustment you will have (1/8") for this unit. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  Unfortunately, no - the single door style of Unidoor does not have any adjustments at all for width or out-of-plumb walls, so for your measurements, the 23" door will be too small and the 24" door will be too large. Thank you for your interest in DreamLine!

A:  The minimum opening width required for the 23" Unidoor is exactly 23". There is not any hardware or components that can be used to modify the width requirement, but this model can be made in a custom size. The Unidoor configuration that only consists of a swinging door (with no stationary panel) does not have any adjustments for width or out-of-plumb walls and the minimum tolerance is the absolute minimum. If you have measured your opening carefully and the top, middle, and bottom widths are all 23", this model will fit. If any of your measurements are less than 23", it will not fit. The "custom width adjustment" piece you are seeing below the main product picture is for Unidoor products that come with an inline stationary panel. Units with an inline stationary panel have adjustment within the channels that hold the stationary panel. Models with just a door glass do not have any adjustment for width. As long as your finished opening is exactly 27", plumb & square, the 27" Unidoor will fit. This model does not have any adjustments for width or out-of-plumb walls and the 27" tolerance is the absolute minimum, so please measure your opening width carefully in at least 3 locations (top, middle, & bottom) to make sure that none of your measurements are less than 27".
