A:  Yes, the black option is actually black.

A:  Maybe a little. Just buy some $2 shims & shim it up a little. These brackets are the best. HD should stock these in their store.

A:  The bracket supports shelves 24" long x 12" deep (maximum) and 3/4" thick. It operates like a cantilever.

A:  It is not possible to adjust the thickness. Note there are two different thicknesses Dolle uses - 5/6" and 3/4". If you get the correct width shelf it fits perfectly. HD needs to put the shelf thickness in the title of the listings.

A:  You have to buy the glass that matches the bracket in length and thickness. It should be made by Dolle. I bought 12 brackets and 12 glass shelves of different sizes and everything fit perfectly. The correct thickness with the thin foam pads makes a snug, sturdy fit.

A:  The 3/4" RAIL will support up to 77 lbs. when used with a shelf of appropriate size. The 3/4" RAIL bracket comes in two lengths - 24" and 32". There is also a 5/16" RAIL bracket to work with our glass shelves

A:  No, the Rail bracket from Dolle is only available in the silver color.

A:  When installed correctly the rail shelf bracket will support up to 77 lbs. This is a aluminum bracket with a silver finish. This bracket is not a shiny chrome finish.

A:  It is listed in the product specs. I am using it for books and have no problems. It is aluminum. I am considering painting it in the future, but looks as is installed.

A:  It would be possible, but tricky since the shelves are meant to go straight in, and the small stickers are essential to ensuring the shelf stays put; you can't slide horizontally with the sticker. Good luck.

A:  Yes, It's fairly easy because the shelf is usually bigger than the bracket and the shelf position can be adjusted. Also, the easiest way to do that is to have one shelf flush with the corner wall and the second shelf end flush against the front of the first shelf. Otherwise, you have to measure and cut the shelves which would be extremely difficult to do well but possible.

A:  For this application we would caution that you ensure the shelf brackets will support the weight and depth of your selected shelf.

A:  Don't think so. 5/16" and works well with the companion Glassline 32 inch shelf. Use the adjustable brackets available at HD.

A:  The rail bracket from Dolle is a fixed opening bracket designed to work with glass shelves 8mm thick, exactly. That is approximately 5/16",which is why Dolle Glass Shelves are exactly 5/16" thick.
