Q:Can I use this to make a hole in a curved fence post?
        by|Dec 22, 2022

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes. Drill a small pilot hole first, drill slowly and keep the bit straight and the drill perpendicular to the post. It will grab a bit when the outer edges start cutting so pay close attention. They’re not very long bits and they create shavings as well as saw dust so if you’re drilling a deep hole pull it out and blow out the waste from the hole and off of the bit. They’re really meant to be used in a drill press but go slowly and pay attention and you should be fine.

          Answer This Question

A:  Hi Joe! Thank you so much for the inquiry. The full length of the bit is 3.5". Thus, depending on how the bit is held in the tool, the max hole depth would roughly be 2-1/4". A:  I have no idea. I used it to drill through the bottom of a wood wine barrel. I would be concerned about the fiberglass splintering. Also, the bit might have trouble cutting a smooth fiberglass surface. I would check with manufacturer before trying this.
