          Answer This Question

A:  It fits in a drilled hole held secure by friction. Remove it by prying it out of hole with a chisel or flat screwdriver. Try alternating from side to side carefully until it loosens. This should not damage the door but be careful not to leverage from edge of door which could leave marks.

A:  I wrapped around the existing one with blue painters tape then carefully squeezed under the metal edge with a putty knife. (Could also use a small chisel). It took some careful, slow coaxing, but working my way around the edge, I was successful at removing it without damage.

A:  Very simple. Needle nose pliers easily pull out the old ball. The new one just pushes into place.

A:  Just use the tip of a thin screwdriver. Should pop right out. Easy to install. Just pop it in.

A:  I think a 1" bit is too big. I used a 7/8" paddle bit and it was perfect.

A:  a 1" hole , best to use a paddle bit just don't drill the hole to deep .
