A:  Hello DK, Thank you for your question. The T17459-RB is a 17 series and the T14459 is a 14 series. The 13, 14, and 17 Series showers all use Monitor® pressure balancing valves for safety. However, the 17 Series has the added feature of a volume control ( large handle controls volume and smaller knob controls temperature) while the 13 and 14 series offer temperature control only. A:  The shower head is some type of plastic, but it doesn't look like it. All the rest is metal.

A:  Hi MaryM, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17459-SS will not work on your 600 series valve. You will need to replace the valve behind the wall if you want to use this trim. We recommend model R10000-UNBX. If you do not want to replace the valve, we do offer an upgrade to the 600 series with model RP54870SS. It includes everything at the valve. You will need to pick out a shower head, shower arm and flange, and your new tub spout. Thanks. Jody

A:  Hi Bunky, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17459 has a showerhead that flows at 2.0 gpm at 60 psi. The tub spout will flow at 5 gpm at 60 psi. Thanks. Jody

A:  Hi Ruby, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T17459-SS does have a showerhead that can be removed from the showerarm. The showerarm is 1/2" in diameter so if your current showerhead is the same width and the threads match, then you can use it. A:  Hi Sara, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17459 can be used if you have our multi-choice valve installed in the wall now. If your vavle was installed after 2006, it is more than likely our multi-choice valve. If your valve was installed before 2006, then you will need to determine what series you had in the wall to see if the new trim will work. If there was a 1700 series in there before, then the new trim will work but you will need to keep the old cartridge. If you had a 600, 1300, or 1400 series trim, the new trim will not work with that valve. Thanks. Jody

A:  Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T14459 is a single function pressure balanced cartridge faucet. The user has control over the temperature but not control over the volume. Delta Faucet model T17459 is a dual function pressure balance cartrdige faucet. There are two handles that sit on top of each other. One handle controls the temperature and the other controls the volume of water flowing through the faucet.
