Q:Had to remove the temperature knob cover to adjust scald guard for water slightly hotter and when we put the cover back on, it does not sit flush on the temperature knob and there is a gap and it feels not as tight. How do we fix this or is it correct?

Q:Can the water temperature be changed on this unit. Shower water will not get warm enough although we have very good hot water throughout the rest of the house

A: Thank you for your question, Jim! There is a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted for hotter water. To adjust this for your Delta Dryden 17 Series T17251 shower, first remove the temperature cover and take a Philip's head screw driver and turn the set screw counter clockwise to remove. Next remove the gray knob. Behind the knob, you should see a black disk. Take this disk and take it out and place the disk to the hotter side. The hot side should be up against the iron piece that is sticking down on the volume handle. We would be more than happy to help you with this. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social.
Best regards, Tanya

Q:can the shower head be mounted on one end of a shower and the controls mounted on the opposite end? We are redoing our bathroom and would like to have a shower door with stationary panel. Hate the thought of getting in shower to turn it on when if the controls were on the door end i could turn on from there.

A: Sure. You could put the shower head anywhere you can run the water pipe to - most plumbers will say “it’s gonna cost you” but as long as you can get to the studs and drill holes and run the line, the shower head could be in a different part of the house. (Not that you’d want to do that...)

A: If your rough in plumbing is set that way.

A: Hi, Leslie!
Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor T17251 shower trim kit can be installed with the valve control on one wall and the shower head on another wall.

Q:Does this faucet meet CA Water Sense regulations?

Answer This Question
A: Hi, Michelle!
Thank you for your question. The Delta T17251-RB trim kit does not meet CA regulations as it has a flow rate of 2.50 gpm @ 80 psi. We recommend the T17251-H2O. This will give a flow rate of 1.75 gpm @ 80 psi and will meet CA regulations.

Rosanna

A: Hi, Dave0820!
Thank you for your question. The T17251-PN will need a Delta Rough valve. You can find the R10000 Rough Valve here:

Please contact your local Home Depot for your installation questions.
