Q:Is the only difference between the T17053 and the T17T053 (other that $200) is that the T17T053 would maintain a year-around temperature (if the temperature of the cold or hot water supply changed) and the T17053 would maintain a constant pressure supply (or mixture volume) between the hot and cold water supply - (so you would have to adjust the setting for the summer/winter)? They both say they will maintain temp. btween +/- 3 1/2 degrees?

A:  oldred, Thank you for your question. This is the only difference in function. The 17T series cartridge will also provide more flow than the 17 series for custom shower applications where multiple shower heads/sprays will be in use. Best regards, Jon

      A:  Large handle controls pressure. Small handle controls temp. This is not the one you are looking for with your question. You could consider the Delta Vero Monitor 14 series.

        A:  Hi Jess, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17053-SS is a single handle dual control faucet. It has two handles that sit on top of each other. The larger handle in the back controls the volume and the smaller handle in the front controls the temperature. The do work independently of each other. Thanks. Jody

              A:  Hi Talita, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17053 will work perfectly with model R10000-UNWS. Then if you need to service the valve, you will be able to turn off the water at the screwdriver stops and won't have to turn off the whole house. Thanks. Jody
