No, using PEX for the tub spout drop can cause water to leak from the showerhead when using the tub spout. The tub spout drop must be a minimum of 1/2" copper or iron pipe in a straight drop. Common water debris can be dislodged when water is turned off and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. The finish on this Delta Faucet T14459-BL Trinsic 1-Handle Wall Mount Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit in Matte Black with H2Okinetic (Valve Not Included) will last a lifetime if provided the following recommended cleaning and care tips. Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to the build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All-Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All-Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. The H2Okinetic showerhead RP70175BL included in this trim kit is a single setting showerhead, so this model would not include an adjustable spray.
