    Answer This Question

A:  I'm sorry I don't know the exact width. It was not installed at my home. What I can say is when the seat is raised and you raise the bars, the hand rails swing up past the width of the tank. Maybe 20-24" wide.

A:  You'd have to put a pc. of blocking, drill two holes, and use longer seat bolts and it might? This attaches where the toilet seat attaches so the bolt area will be lower than the seat height. Might be easier to get Carex brand raised seat with handles.

A:  The bar just lifts up when the seat is raised. It cannot be rotated once it is properly installed. It does not interfere with the normal use of the toilet.

A:  remove existing toilet seat, assemble frame, mount on toilet with old toilet seat and hardware. I had an elongated toilet and a booster seat that worked well on this install. Due to close wall I had to relocate toilet paper dispenser since it was at same location as one of the rails which was easily done.

A:  You remove the toilet seat, place the product on the toilet rim and align with the seat attachment holes, then reinstall the seat.

A:  You have to remove the existing toilet seat and bolts and then place the safety bar on porcelain toilet. Next, line the safety bar fasteners up over the holes on the base of the toilet then reinstall the seat and seat bolts.
