Q:I am going to install this inside a shower enclosure to replace an existing light. Where is the GFI installed? Is it a GFI switch?

A:  Do not install it in the shower enclosure. That's DANGEROUS. I would recommend locating it 1.5 - 2 FT away from the shower enclosure. It would be great if you could hook it up to the " LOAD" side of your GFCI bathroom receptacle.

    A:  This fan is not rated for use in a wet location, (ie) bathrooms. Use over a shower will result in a dangerous installation and immediate unit failure. It will also void the warranty. Mike

    A:  This should not be installed in the / right above a shower stall. First, It is dangerous and second, it wouldn't lasted a month in a wet location. 1.5-2 Ft away from the shower stall would be a bare minimum distance. Make sure you connect it to the GFCI

        Q:When I take a shower and the steam from the shower reaches the fan, the fan slows down significantly (almost turns off) and the green light starts flashing. When the steam is gone, it runs again on full speed. How to disable the this feature?

        A:  No, the duct is positioned so the damper will work correctly in a horizontal or vertical position. The fan is installed so the duct outlet is between studs or joists.
