A:  Hi VAHunny, Thank you for your question! The finish for this hand shower will last a very long time with regular cleaning and care. We recommend wiping it dry with a soft cloth after use. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measures are needed, a solution of 50% distilled white vinegar (not apple cider or balsamic vinegar) and water could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. A:  This Delta head did not come with a hose, it was a replacement for a smaller hose that had a hose. I do love the newer Delta shower head it’s larger than the previous one, I attached it to the previous hose. If you want the shower head with a hose go to Delta website and pick the one you want and order it through Home Depot. The hose there is between 60 and 82”

A:  Don't know why there is no hose, but I am handicapped and opted to buy a longer hose than what would normalluy come with a shower head. I love mine and have had it for about 1 year now. I also bought a diverter for the existing shower head so that my husband can use the regular shower head and just by flipping the lever I can use my hand held one. So far no problems and it isn't plastic. Hope this might help you.

A:  I purchased this shower head and it came with a hose. I unhooked my old unit that stop working after 15 years and replace it with this unit. It’s not cheap like you said, but In my opinion it was well worth the money. I’ve had it for probably a year now and couldn’t be happier with it. Call Delta ask for customer service and they will send you a hose I’m sure. I’ve always had good luck with Delta.

A:  No, the whole thing is not made of plastic.

This helps prevent heat transfer that could result in scalding and reduce weight. Non-metallic parts are also beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode.
