Q:Can I disable the proximity feature but leave the touch feature active?

A:  Hi Colin, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 592T-RB-DST has a proximity feature that can be turned off and on. To turn it off, tap the faucet rapidly 6 times, a light will flash, then tap it 6 times rapidly again. This should turn the proximity off. If you want to turn it back on, just do the same process to turn it on again. Thanks. Jody

        Q:how do you get the temperature that you want and still not touch it? Can you leave the handle in a chosen position for most of the time?

        A:  Hi Ndea, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 592T-DST does have the temperature controlled by the handle. If you find the desired temperature, just leave the faucet on and turned to that temperature. Then everytime you touch the faucet, it will return to that temperture. Thanks. Jody

          A:  If you mean the countertop has 3 holes with the two outer holes drilled on 5.5" centers, no. The escutcheon only covers faucet holes with a 4" spread. You can install the faucet, but it will not cover the faucet holes. My countertop has an 8" spread. I installed the faucet anyway and will figure out how to deal with the holes later ( fill with epoxy, cover with buttons, etc.).

            A:  Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 592T-SS-DST has a maximum deck thickness of 2 1/2 inches. It will not work on a 5 1/2 inch sink. Thanks. Jody

            A:  Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 592T-RB-DST is battery operated. You will need 4 AA batteries to operate the faucet.

              A:  Thanks for your question. This model does come with an escutcheon plate but it is only 5 3/4 inches long so it would not work for an 8 inch spread faucet. You might get 2 soap dispensers for the open holes and use one for soap and the other for lotion.

                A:  You must have a faucet with a scution big enough to cover the other holes.

                  A:  Thanks for your question. There is an optional 6 1/4 inch escutcheion included. You also might purchase a soap dispenser or two to cover up the other holes. One could be for soap and one could be for lotion.
