Answer This Question
A: GrannyFranny, thank you for your question. This holder is designed to hold paper rolls up to 8in. long. The stand also extends 4.7in. past the wall so that must be taken into account when selecting your paper roll size. ~Best, Delta Customer Care Team

A: MissJ, thank you for your question on the Delta Decor Assist Contemporary Toilet Paper Holder with Assist Bar in Chrome. The holder can be mounted on tile walls, but will require the purchase of a tile drill bit to drill through the tile. Best, Customer Care Team

A: Possibly,it would depend on the tile and how secure it is to the wall. Tile on cement backer board is usually more solid and secure than tile on drywall. Keep in mind it needs to be a very solid fit to the wall. Good luck

A: Hi Naomi,
No sorry but this lovely decor assist toilet paper holder is not ADA compliant but a lovely toilet paper none the less and with assist. I use the assist all the time to get up and have one in the stud, and one with the supplied anchor. It is strong.

A: I'm not sure if it has that Official Approval. The company may have to submit the product to ADA for approval. Also a lot depends on quality of installation, I'm sure. I''ve installed and it seems very sturdy, I wouldn't put my whole body weight on it per se, but enough to help you get up.

A: Yes, this model meets ADA standards.

Q:Under TOOLS REQUIRED, it lists:
“3/16-inch Drill Bit (to drill pilot hole for installation of Lag screw into wood wall stud) “
In the instruction step 7:
“Use the 3/8-inch power drill and 7/64-inch drill bit to drill all holes into the wall and wood wall stud(s) at the marked positions.“
So which is it? 3/16 or 7/64?
Also, at step 9: “Repeat on opposing side of wall.”
Opposing side of wall? What?

A: Ari, Thank you for your question. I apologize for the confusion. The 3/16 inch drill bit is the pilot hole for a non-stud mount. The 7/64 inch stud is for a stud mount. The repeat for opposing side means to follow the same instructions for the second mounting post. Best, Customer Care Team

A: This is an outstanding product that is both tasteful in appearance and helpful to old legs. Our three were installed by a professional carpenter, unfortunately, and we can't comment on the installation directions.

A: IF DRILLING INTO WOOD STUD OR WOOD BRACE USE THE 7/16 BIT. IF USING THE HOLLOW WALL CHOICE THEN THE 3/16 BIT. WHEN YOU MARK YOUR 2 HOLES FOR DRILLING DRILL 1ST THEN ON OPPOSING SIDE OF SAME WALL DRILL THE 2ND. GOOD LUCK

A: The instructions are not terrible. Not great, but not terrible.
What is bad is that it's stainless steel. Shows every finger mark, hand print, etc.
Requires constant cleaning. No thank you to Stainless Steel. Returned.

A: No, the Delta answer is almost certainly wrong, because the instructions say to drill a ONE INCH hole for a non-stud mount, which is what you need to insert the flange. The 7/64 pilot hole for the lag screw into wood stud also looks wrong to me, because it's much narrower than the shank of the lag screw. 5/32 looks about right to me. Delta, can you take another look at this?

Q:if I can find 1 stud do I need to use the wall anchor bar in the other hole? What if there are NO studs in the area? Do I need to buy another anchor

A: Hi,
This is designed to mount with one stud but they say it can work with not studs.
The one side will screw directly into the stud.
The other side you will drive a 1" hole, a strong bar will be slid behind the drywall through this hole, this is attached to the TP holder. easily has a 300 ld. capacity.

A: Hello Tom, Thank you for your question.
IMPORTANT: The recommended mounting method for assist bars is to mount at least one end of the bar into a WOOD wall stud or WOOD blocking. For further assistance, call Customer Care at 1-800-542-3789 Kind Regards, Customer Care Team

A: If you really want to use this as a grab bar then you need a stud on both sides. That is done by building out the stud to the width of the holder. If this is really a grab bar you need a solid installation all around

A: Hi torn
We have one side in the stud, and one with the included anchor, and trust me, it is strong and sturdy, and is not going anywhere off of the wall. I use it to pull myself up and it is very strong, and does not move what so ever. Very good product.

A: If you can find a stud, you can use it in place of the wall anchor.
If there are no studs in the area, then use the anchor.

A: It only holds one.

A: It will hold only one roll of toilet paper. The top bar is the “assist” bar. I personally only recommend using the assist feature if installed into a stud. Otherwise it’s more likely than not to pull out of wall.
