A: The item never made it to me. They shipped me a hood vent for a stove. It was the biggest pain to get them to come pick it up for a return. It took almost a month to fix the issue. My money was finally returned but I went somewhere else to get a jointer since the whole process was a hassle. I had to call the online department about 7 time to get the issue finally fixed

A: 6-" Midi-Bench Jointer MODEL NUMBER: 37-071 OD is 2-3/8" and a re-design to 2-1/2" is being looked at. Additionally, going to a 1-1/2" might be to narrow causing chip blockage.

A: There is no easy way to remove it that I can see without disassembling something. You could lift the guard out by simply pulling upwards on my previous jointer. This one appears to be fixed. I had to use a clamp to hold it open when I adjusted the cutter height.
