A:  We wouldn't recommend this particular unit for sand blasting, we do not believe it will keep up with a sandblaster. It all depends on how many cfm your tool and nozzle requires. A good sandblaster is around 20-25 cfm. This compressor is 30 gallon, 5.7 scfm@90psi with 1.9hp. That translates to about 13-15 cfm. You would need 3-5hp with 80 gallon at least 20-30 cfm. If you can utilize a smaller tank size and lower CFM for your application, we would recommend model # DXCM251 - 25 Gal. 200 PSI air compressor with an air delivery of 6.2 SCFM at 90 PSI and 7.7 SCFM at 40 PSI.

A:  Model# DXCMLA1683066 has an air delivery of 6.2 SCFM at 40 PSI and 5.3 SCFM at 90 PSI. It has a 1.6 running HP. It also includes a high flow regulator, which supplies more torque for projects like removing old rusted bolts. Model# DXCMLA1983054 has an air delivery of 7.0 SCFM at 40 PSI and 5.7 SCFM at 90 PSI. It has a 1.9 running HP.

A:  Twin piston vs single, 1.6 vs 1.9 hp, 5.3 scfm vs 5.7. Bring up the spec for each to verify.
