        A:  It is a variable depending on the Amp Hour of the battery which would need to be converted into kilowatt hours in order to be converted into horsepower. For instance, a 5AH battery will get you approximate 0.6 kilowatt hours and a 1 kilowatt hour in 1.3 hp approximately. So, all told, a 5AH battery will get you 0.8 hp after two conversions and the calculations would run on from there on the different amp hours.

                  A:  The DEWALT 20V line-up will offer a variety of batteries with various amp hours. The higher the amp hour of the battery, the more overall runtime your vacuum will yield. The 18V battery does not have as many options.
