A: To clean Skillet, first remove excess food and oil with a damp cloth. Place base and glass cover on the top shelf of a dishwasher or wash with warm soapy water, using a non abrasive cloth.
Dry thoroughly when clean. If desired, recondition the nonstick surface with cooking oil to enhance the release property of the nonstick coating.

A: I know exactly what you mean. Ive owned several thoughout my life and only used them as a slow cooker for my roasts. My mom did the same for she taught me this method. While some skillets temps begin at 250, this one begins at warm. So I imagine you can set it very low. If I may suggest, buy one locally at a large chain store with a good return policy. Use it once and Im sure you will find out if it slow cooks the way you want. I am currently shopping for one to do the same thing plus being able to use it to serve in. This one is the prettiest. Now to see if it suits my needs.
