A:  Hello, Thank you for your question. The cabinet has been designed for surface mounting only, however, the owner can modify their wall or the cabinet in any-way they wish. Any changes to the cabinet would invalidate warranties.

A:  Absolutely. My husband found a spot in the wall and cut through the drywall. It is partially recessed and he will eventually trim around it. We had to install it this way due to the small available space in our pantry and the fact that we had to install 2 of them.

A:  No, the lock on this cabinet cannot be replaced with a combination lock.

A:  I don't think so, because although you may be able to remove the existing lock, there is a hook on the inside (like a home safe) that actually locks the cabinet. When the key turns the lock, it moves the hook that locks and unlocks the cabinet.
