Q:Can you bullnose one side to use panel as a stair landing

A:  Hello, The edge of the panel is not intended to be exposed. I would recommend lumber to edge the panel in this application.

A:  You would not want to try and cut one into the panel, however, you could add a bullnose onto the panel to achieve the desired goal of a beautiful stair tread.

A:  #1. No way could you bullnose the multiple plys. You'd need to apply an edge or moulding. #2. I don't think the veneer would bear the constant traffic of footsteps and shoe grit of a family for many years. If it's one or two old people going up and down the stairs a few times a day in their house-slippers then it would make a nice looking landing. Otherwise I would suggest a subfloor and a flooring product. Not an expert, just my opinion.

Q:can this be used as a countertop above a dishwasher

        Answer This Question

A:  Stain as desired and maybe polyurethane. Edges will have to be covered. Don't expect cleanup to be like stone or typical counter top material. For food prep i would have a concern. It's plenty strong ... plenty pretty (if finished properly) ... as far as "cleaning fish on it" ... you see wood being used all the time on docks - but cutting board required i'd say. If water gets into the edges it could be a problem ... as will any plywood (except the really stinky ones with lots of toxic glue (China specials).

A:  Hello Fish, It's really not designed for use as a countertop. I would not recommend using this as a countertop unless there was some laminate applied to the panel.
