Q:I'm thinking of using this as the base for a 20 gallon aquarium stand in a classroom. Would it work with chunky legs screwed into the bottom for supports? I want something pretty substantial but not a large footprint (basically cut to size of tank).

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
The 3/4" primed panel will work for this application. The average weight of 225 lbs. for this size aquarium will not create any issues with deflection of the panel.

Q:I want to use the Free Custom Cut feature to create three 1' x 4' shelves out of a 4' x 4' panel. How should I inter the cuts in the form? If I try to enter three cuts at 12" x 48", 24" x 48" and 36" x 48", I get the following message
"Your cuts exceeds the size of the panel, Note: 3/16" is added for each cut due to the width of the sawblade".

Answer This Question
A: Please enter the size of each cut piece you want. For this order, you would just enter 12" x 48" four separate times. If you get this error, it may be accounting for the saw kerf, the material the saw removes with each cut. If this occurs, just adjust each width down slightly, try entering 11 3/4" x 48" four times. If you continue to have issues, contact me at mhale@cfpwood.com and I'll be happy to help.
