Q:What plywood do I need if I want to make outdoor decor, for example a Christmas Grinch Cutout for outside.

Answer This Question
A: Hello,
I would not recommend the product for outdoor applications. We use a water resistant glue – but not a waterproof/exterior rated adhesive. For this application you will need an exterior rated panel. Thanks.

A: I don't know if you are asking the dealer or a customer. You can cut the corners yourself 1" x 1" no problem.

A: Hi Kasey,
We are unable to cut to a 1" size. Not able to provide diagonal cuts with our setup.

Q:Planning a shelving unit of two parallel runs of 48”x24” - that’s 24” deep, 48” long, with supports on both ends and in the middle. Supports possibly made out of iron pipes or 1.5” wood. I’d like to place two aquariums 16 gallons each or three aquariums at around 10 gallons each on top shelf.

A: Hello,
Yes, the panel will support the weight with proper supports. The middle support will be critical to keep deflection of the panel at a minimum.

A: If you brace in the middle of the shelf, it should be ok. You're looking at about 80 to 120 lbs per tank. If you bond an edge trim facing it will strengthen it.

A: I wouldn't use the 3/4 ply alone to support a 16 gal aquarium that could weight up to 150 pounds without some kind of support underneath. It could possibly become wet as well which would further deteriorate its stability. You might think about doubling up on the thickness of the shelves to help support the weight, or run an iron pipe underneath the shelf length wise between the leg supports to help support the weight of the aquarium (s) Hope this helps.

Q:Am I able to stain this darker? I dont like how light it is. Thanks!
by|Nov 7, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Certainly.
There are many brands and colors of stains available.
Brush on, wipe off.
Just make sure to test the color in a hidden area to ensure you get what you are after.
More coats will make it darker, while less time prior to wiping it off will keep it lighter.
Consistency is key when ya sort out the color.
Good luck and enjoy yourself:)!
