Q:PLease discuss how the design of this door will keep water from ending up outside the shower stall, on the floor

A:  The sill helps to keep the water within the shower. Please also make sure that the shower head is not directly facing the door. Also, within the instructions it details how to properly caulk the sill and the wall jambs to ensure a leak proof installation. Thank you for your question.

    Q:my opening is 34 1/4 at bottom and 34 3/16 at top. will this door fit. also when door is open is the top of the opening clear with no bar across top
