Answer This Question
A: Bill,
You can select a 9', 3" to give you 111 inches high. You are better off buying a door slightly higher than you opening size. Only other option is to order a 9' door and that will mean you have to build door your opening. Thank you for shopping The Home Depot, the Clopay team.

Q:Hi, In 1987, I purchased 2-9'X8'Clopay overhead doors with no windows, insulated. The serial number of one of the doors is 1706576. I am adding a 3rd garage stall next to the 2 I have now. Will a new 9'X8' door look the same? Doors are raised panel.

Answer This Question
A: Hi PaulB, the raised panel is a different design now on the Premium door you are looking at. The new raised panel is an "elegant" design versus the "traditional" praised panel on your older doors. Unfortunately the design will be different. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team.

Q:The Clopay website only has this door with an r-value of 6.3 and Home Depot is generally out of the 6.5 but has higher r-values, up to 18.4. Why the discrepancy and what is the difference in the installation to go from 6.3 to 18.3?

Q:Is the form-end/ sides of the steel door sealed to prevent water/moisture seepage? One of the buyer had bad experience with water seeping through the doors and causing damage? Any suugestions for buyers to protect against water/moisture damage to doors?

Answer This Question
A: Hi DoorsSealed, this model door has foamed in place (polyurethane) insulation between the steel skins and the end caps applied to cover the ends. The end caps are not "sealed" but due to the insulation used there is nowhere for any water to go. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team
