              A:  Hi Glenn, "standard" openers will only work with doors up to 7' high. You will need to get an extension kit (available in store) for 8' door which adds length to the rail for anything over 7' high. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team

                A:  Hi Jojo, I'm not sure what you mean by "emergency release string"? If you mean outside emergency disconnect for an opener then no it is not included. This door does not come with an exterior lock but you order lock separately and install it on this door or you can go to www.homedepot.com/garagedoors and design this door to made with the exterior lock option in place.                     A:  Hi David, the springing weight on this door is 107lbs. Any residential opener (with a 8' extension kit) will work for this door since the springs do the actual lifting of the door and opener really just gets it moving and maintains speed/limits. Whatever bells and whistles you want in your opener is up to you but any residential opener will work. Thanks for shopping the Home Depot, the Clopay team
